Zakros

Dedale · internal tool

The meeting notetaker Dedale hosts itself.

A continuous memory you turn on yourself, meetings transcribed with no bot, notes under company rules. Your PC, or Dedale's server.

For Dedale analysts, expert-network teams, sales and management, on Dedale-managed PCs.

Client calls on Zoom, Meet or Teams and in-person meetings become shared, searchable notes, with no personal subscription to an online notetaker and without sending audio to any AI service outside Dedale.

Available soon on Dedale PCs.

How it works

Open Zakros Sign-in with your Dedale account required

The Zakros home page in the browser: a navigation rail on the left, the empty state explaining that capture happens on the desktop or mobile app.

Your memory, on your PC

A memory of your day that you switch on, pause and purge yourself. The indicator stays visible, a pause has a set duration, the apps you exclude are not captured, and a full purge is yours to trigger, PC and server copy included.

Slice summaries stay on this PC; only a pseudonymised copy, names and emails replaced before upload, reaches the Dedale server.

The desktop app's memory panel: state, timed pause, excluded apps, latest slices.

What leaves your PC, and what never does

The table below is the application's own, column by column. Every release compares it with the DPIA statement: a difference blocks the release.

Stays on the device

  • Ambient slice audio (Opus, two channels)Retention: deleted within 1 hour after transcription, 7 days at most
  • Raw slice transcripts (with names)Retention: follows the roll-up class, never sent
  • Excluded apps listRetention: with the local store
  • People and persona (long-term memory)Retention: until the person purges

Leaves pseudonymised to the Dedale server

  • Slice, day and week roll-ups (pseudonymised)Retention: 30 to 90 days (admin-set, default 90)
  • Memory events (pseudonymised titles, app category)Retention: 30 to 90 days (admin-set, default 90)
  • Promoted-meeting transcripts and notes, under decide()Retention: transcript class (12 months by default)
  • Mapping-table version id (never the table)Retention: 30 to 90 days (admin-set, default 90)

Audit events

  • Memory opt-in, pause, opt-outRetention: 12 months, append-only log
  • Local purge and backup-copy deletionRetention: 12 months, append-only log
  • Identity reveal by an administrator (typed reason)Retention: 12 months, append-only log
  • Sensitive term: category and choice, never the termRetention: 12 months, append-only log

Depending on the workspace policy, the pseudonym mapping table stays on this PC alone, or an encrypted backup copy is held by the administrator.

The "What leaves my PC" screen: three columns, what stays on the device, what leaves pseudonymised, the audit events.

A detected meeting becomes a notebook

When a meeting or a call is detected, Zakros offers to take notes; nothing starts without you. The notebook gathers your memo, the notes and the transcript, in French and in English, with speakers separated.

Transcription runs on this PC when it can, and on a Dedale-operated server in the EU when it cannot. No bot joins the meeting.

A meeting notebook: memo, notes and transcript with speakers separated.

Company notes under company rules

Sign in with your Dedale account. Sharing per workspace or by link, off for notes marked confidential. Retention periods set by the administrator, audio deleted after transcription.

Participants are informed at every recorded meeting: invite footer, chat message or spoken announcement, with the notice logged.

Sharing a note: workspace, link, and the block on a confidential note.

Install

On Dedale-managed Windows PCs, Zakros arrives through Intune, with nothing to do on your side. Mac and Linux each have their installer. On Android and iOS, the app records in-person meetings and reads your notes.

Available soon on Dedale PCs.
